About New Day

New Day Community Outreach is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization founded in Lafayette, LA. in 2017. We are on a mission to impact and enhance lives...one day at a time. One of our biggest efforts is “The Butterfly Effect Project”. Formerly known as The Cinderella Project of UL Americorp, The Butterfly Project provides free donated dresses, shoes, and accessories to school-aged girls. In 2017 we hosted our 1st ever “homecoming edition” which provided girls with homecoming dresses, in March 2018 we served hundreds of girls with Free donated Prom dresses. Our mission has a particular interest in assisting children and the elderly. By providing community events for kids at little to no cost to parents. These events aim to boost self-esteem, raise awareness of Mental and Behavioral Health issues, increase social skills, and provide an outlet for those with built up energy! Our elderly community is especially near and dear to our heart. We have partnered with Evangeline Oaks Nursing Home in Carencro, LA. to provide monthly games and activities, care packages, and more! New Day Community Outreach has big dreams, big goals, and even more faith in our community.

By working together, WE WILL SUCCEED!!

Our Founder and Executive Director, Natasha Leday is a woman with a vision! Although our team is small, we are united by our passion to SERVE!
